Horse and Hound ran a feature on the Foundation on 22nd January. Featured on the Front Cover the article ran over 4 pages explaining the work of the Foundation and Emiles hopes for the future. Emile hopes this article will raise awareness of the Foundations work and show just how far the Charity has come over the past three years. It is hoped donations will be forthcoming and people will think of the Charity when running events and hopefully be able to fund raise!
The Foundation is in the process of applying for Lottery funding which would obvoiusly make a huge inpact on our funds,

Woodchurch High School, Carr Bridge Road, Wirral, CH49 7NG
Situated in one of the most deprived areas of Liverpool and had lost its funding for riding last year the school approached the Foundation for help. The Foundation as able to step in and fund 10 children each week to attend Barnston Riding Centre in the Wirral where they have 2 sessions of riding and stable management.
This school is starting riding this term at Checkendon Riding Centre in Reading whose owner Jennifer Greenway has offered to sponsor their riding through the Foundation. This is a great example of Riding Centres being able to help by offering reduced rates and helping these children. This Centre is set in a beautiful setting and the children are very excited about starting their lessons. Head Teacher Suzanne Woods was overjoyed at the news saying it was one of the nicest phone calls she had had!!
New Brompton College, Marlborough Road, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 5HT
This school applied for funding and will commence as soon as possible. Although not an inner city this school struggles to be able to fund activities such as riding and the children are not able to afford the lessons. Some rural areas have problems and often do not receive any help from local authorities so it’s important these schools are supported as well. The school hopes to start riding at Callum Park Riding Centre this term.
